Access to reliable electricity is a major challenge in many rural and underserved communities. The BCO Solar Light Project aims to change that by providing solar-powered lighting solutions to homes, schools, and healthcare centers in off-grid areas.
Through this project, we plan to distribute solar lamps, solar home kits, and street lights, while also training locals on maintenance for long-term use. With your support, we can brighten lives, extend study hours for children, improve security, and support emergency healthcare at night.
$500 – Feed a Local Community Cluster. Provides 10–15 solar lamps to households in a small settlement or farming community (e.g., rural Ijebu or Ifo)
$1,000 – Light up a Village. Equips a small village with 25–30 solar lanterns or 5–10 mounted solar streetlights for central spaces.
$5,000 – Light up a Ward (Multiple Villages). Installs 40–50 mounted solar lights across 3–5 villages or funds the solar electrification of a local health post and school.
$15,000 – Light up a Local Government Area (LGA). Brings sustainable light to a whole LGA like Abeokuta North or Remo North—covering:
100+ solar streetlights in key areas
Solar power for 2–3 schools and health centers
50+ home lantern kits
$40,000 – Light up the State. Launches a full-scale solar access program across:
